Sights & Sounds of Christmas Festival
Be part of the heart of the festival. From welcoming guests at the gates to serving holiday treats and creating magical moments with Santa, these roles put you right in the middle of the Sights & Sounds experience. Choose your spot, bring your energy, and help make the season unforgettable.
Designed for experienced volunteers, All-Star Elves float throughout the park, stepping in wherever support is needed to keep the festival running smoothly. This role is ideal for returning S&S volunteers who enjoy variety, can adapt quickly, and are comfortable supporting the volunteer committee as needs arise.
Sugarplum Servers spread holiday cheer by helping make and serve treats and drinks at festive stations such as Peppermint Plaza, Lions Club drinks, and cotton candy. Volunteers assist with preparation, serving, restocking, and keeping stations cheerful and welcoming.
Santa’s Helpers play a key role in creating magical moments by escorting Santa to his post, assisting guests as they approach for photos, and helping with picture-taking and flow. This role also helps manage the Santa line and may accompany Santa throughout the park, making it perfect for volunteers who are confident in busy guest-facing environments.
Gates Greeters support guest entry at the Admission Gates by checking tickets with scanners, answering arrival questions, and helping keep lines moving smoothly. This role brings the holiday spirit right to the front gate, making guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
Campfire Biscuits makers bring a beloved festival tradition to life by prepping, cooking, and selling our famous biscuits made in Dutch ovens. This hands-on role is perfect for large groups who enjoy working together and sharing one of the festival’s most popular experiences with guests.
Holiday Activity Assistants help keep the festival magic alive by either guiding guests through the Scavenger Hunt with clues and cheer or managing performer arrivals and departures at the stage entrance gates. Volunteers in this role support smooth, joyful experiences—whether engaging guests directly or helping performances run smoothly behind the scenes.
Sights & Sounds Storytellers move throughout the park, capturing joyful moments through photos and short videos that highlight the magic of the festival. This role is a great fit for volunteers with a natural eye for visual storytelling or photography, and the moments captured may be shared on the Sights & Sounds website and social media.
Volunteers support either pre-festival setup or post-festival teardown, with tasks that may include light lifting, outdoor work, and decorating – perfect for those who don’t mind getting their hands a little dirty and have an eye for making things look festive.
